Main Duties:

As a Financial Controller, your main duties include:

  • Play an integral part in the site leadership team, offering strategic financial guidance to support growth and operational success.
  • Oversee month-end activities, management reporting, and forecasting, ensuring robust analysis and clear communication of performance.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and ongoing financial plans, with a focus on profit delivery, cash management, and balance sheet health.
  • Enhance working capital efficiency and strengthen financial controls and operational processes across the site.
  • Coach and manage a small finance team, embedding accountability and a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Work in close partnership with operational and senior stakeholders to provide insight that shapes key decisions and supports long-term objectives.
  • Take responsibility for audit preparation, stock integrity, and compliance reviews to ensure strong governance.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least five years’ post-qualification experience
  • Solid background in manufacturing
  • Proven leader who can develop and motivate a finance team while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong financial reporting, analysis, and internal control experience, with a focus on accuracy and improvement
  • Confident user of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong organisational ability and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
