Assistant Accountant

This is a varied, hands-on Assistant Accountant Role which involves:

A blend of completing ledger and treasury as well as assisting with month end duties. This role offers the chance to be a part of an engaging team, working closely with the upper management to ensure transactional and month end processes are completed.

• Assist in preparation of month end and year end accounts, as well as month end schedules and reports
• Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers including supplier payment runs and credit
• Compiling various data to assist in the preparation of month end accounting
• Assist with carrying out various month end procedures. This would most likely include,
  as examples:
• Bank reconciliations, Debtors, Creditors, Prepayments, Accruals.
• Carry out supplier statement reconciliations to ensure ledger balances are correct.
• Handling ad-hoc work as required to support the finance function
• Resolve any shipment, delivery or invoicing issues
• Ensuring all supplier accounts are reconciled and all payments are allocated

 

Location / Office / Culture

The role is based in their Redditch office, working within their strong finance function with a wider team consisting of circa 20.

 

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Understanding of transactional finance processes – sales, purchase ledger, treasury.
• Exposure to month-end processes is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and managing your own workload
