An opportunity to be a Management Accountant for a logistics company based in Marston Green is located next to the train station, making it easily accessible. The company have a large and bright team with lots of growth potential and really look after their employees, with supportive managers that have been there for several years. This role gives you a fantastic chance to be in a growing, impactful finance team that will operate company wide.

Main Duties:

As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:

  • Preparing detailed management accounts for specific business units
  • Handling cash book and bank reconciliations, including issuing manual payments via banking software when necessary
  • Managing accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis between actual performance and the plan
  • Submitting various reports to head office, covering stock, debtors, sales, and margins
  • Creating a comprehensive management information pack, including schedules for sales, margins, stock, debtors, and working capital
  • Reconciling balance sheets for each entity and submit to head office
  • Maintaining monthly planning files to update relevant data
  • Preparing annual, profit and loss, and balance sheet plans for review
  • Completing annual internal statutory accounts for group consolidation
  • Processing payroll and analyse variances
  • Assisting with monthly submission of internal controls

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid with three days in the office based in Marston Green. The company operates from a modern office consisting of a strong team of 20+ including their very passionate management team that have been there for many years and are very supportive.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ideally, two years’ experience in a management accounting or related financial environment
  • Working towards a qualification in CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or AAT is preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A high level of numeracy, attention to detail, and diligence are essential
  • Proficiency in Excel, at least at an intermediate level, is desirable
  • Driving License
