Main Duties:
As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed profit and loss analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles for production and operational departments.
- Take ownership of developing, maintaining, and periodically reviewing standard costs for materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Conduct detailed analysis of key variances, including usage, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption, providing clear commentary and actionable insights for operational management.
- Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of inventory valuation in compliance with accounting standards, including impairment reviews and reserve analysis.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system (such as SAP or Oracle)
- Collaborate proactively with non-finance stakeholders, including production managers and supply chain leaders, to interpret financial results and support operational decisions aimed at cost reduction and productivity improvement.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Part-qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in management or cost accounting, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industry.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelling.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
- Analytical, detail-focused, and accuracy-driven.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Passionate about understanding operations and linking them to financial performance.
