Main Duties:

As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:

• Prepare month-end reports for clients in agreed formats.
• Support client budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Post month-end journals, including those related to IFRS16 and non-IFRS16 items.
• Review and validate month-end reports before submission to clients.
• Prepare VAT returns and related reporting.
• Monitor and report on non-resident landlord requirements.
• Provide support for the annual SOC audit process.
• Review and approve the monthly governance pack in collaboration with account leads.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal quality standards.
• Assist the Head of department with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

 

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid typically with 2 days in the office, which is based in their contemporary workspace in Birmingham. The business has fantastic managers to learn from and is very flexible in its working patterns and values determination, resilience and forward thinking.

 

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Experience with IFRS16
• Solid understanding of fundamental property accounting principles.
• Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Excellent at organizing time and meeting deadlines.
• Structured and process-oriented, with an understanding of the value of effective controls.
