About the Business

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established services business based in Birmingham as a Revenue Analyst, paying £40,000 – £50,000 per annum with hybrid working. Sitting within a small analytical team, you’ll dig into supplier data to make sure every pound the business is owed is captured, giving you real ownership of work that directly protects the bottom line. It’s a visible role, with your analysis going in front of senior management and genuine scope to improve how the team works.

Main Duties:

As a Revenue Analyst, your main duties include:

  • Analysing the data that suppliers submit, comparing it against what should be there and writing up any gaps found on individual accounts
  • Producing gap and audit analysis, trend reporting and tailored financial reports from the management information held by the business
  • Checking that suppliers provide their data on time and in full, chasing anything outstanding so that no income goes unclaimed
  • Spotting where revenue is slipping through the net and documenting clear recommendations to recover it, ensuring the business receives everything it is owed
  • Helping suppliers get their data loaded correctly first time and coaching them to submit it independently going forward
  • Investigating and resolving issues with how supplier activity is recorded and reported, working with colleagues and external contacts until each one is closed off
  • Explaining your findings to stakeholders in plain terms, covering headline figures, trends, revenue identified and recovered, movements against forecast and any open issues
  • Presenting your analysis and recommended next steps to senior management and to stakeholders both inside and outside the business
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports, making sure they meet regulatory and internal control requirements and clearly highlight where the business is strong and where it is exposed
  • Raising the quality of the data the team relies on and putting forward process improvements to the wider improvement team

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham, with 2 to 3 days a week in the office and the rest from home. You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team within a business that genuinely invests in its people, with protected time each month for wellbeing and a strong focus on doing things the right way.
