Counted Recruitment are currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a great Manufacturing business based in Birmingham. This role will see you play a crucial role in a fantastic finance team

Main duties of this Financial Controller  role include:

• Ensure that the function of the management accounts are managed and further developed and to provide a continuous drive for improvement throughout the company
• Act as a leader for the finance department and ensure each individual is clear on their role, key deliverables and there own personal objectives 
• Ensure that KPIs are developed and maintained to the business strategy. 
• Detail both operational and financial KPIs at a board level
• Ensure that management accounts are both prepared and reported on a monthly basis 
• Complete all bank reconciliations and see to any month end actions in good time 
• Provide the board and PE investors with a presentation of financial results whilst supporting the CEO and disputing where necessary 
• Supervise and support in the development of the financial and operational control environment whilst also making sure that minimal control standard, documentation and systems are in place 
• Ensure that precise forecasting and reporting of balance sheets are being delivered 
• Make and maintain strong working relationships so that solid business partnering is in place 
• Ensure that precise insight and forecasting is in place for non-financial individuals with the intention to further improve financial and operational performance 
• Act as a key point of contact when liaising with other companies advisors 
• Make sure financial statement are signed off in time 
• Manage everyday treasury activities 
• Prepare and submit VAT

A large manufacturer near central Birmingham, based in the jewellery quarter. This role offers flexible hours

The ideal candidate will either be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or have very strong manufacturing background.
