Automotive – Warwick

Founded in Gaydon in 1913, Aston Martin is an iconic leading manufacturer of luxury cars in 55 different countries, with a profit of £611.8 million in 2020. They were made famous by the James Bond film franchise, with one of their prototypes making a cameo in No Time to Die.

Insurance – Birmingham

Founded in 1986, this company offers specialist insurance to clients around the world as part of the Lloyd’s Group. Although headquartered in London, they have offices in Birmingham as well. The company’s gross premiums exceeded $1 billion in 2019.

Soft Drinks – Solihull

Established in the 1930s, this company sought to use soft drinks as a means to provide an affordable source of vitamins. Their head office is situated in Hemel Hempstead, but they have offices in Solihull and Tamworth as well. The company’s brands include J20, Robinsons, and Tango.

Engineering – Solihull

Established in Solihull in 1824, this company predominantly trades in galvanised steel. They predominantly work in the fields of road safety, along with public utilities. The company is responsible for the dome steelwork at Birmingham University.

Home Assistance – Walsall

For over 25 years, this company has been providing a variety of services for homeowners across the UK. This includes installation, servicing, and emergency repairs for boilers, plumbing, and electrics.

Engineering – Birmingham

Although their smelting division was sold to TIMET in 1996, Imperial Metal Industries remains as one of Birmingham’s prominent engineering firms. They specialise in designing water-based heating and cooling systems.

Hospitality – Birmingham

Established in 1898, this Birmingham firm operates over 1,700 pubs, bars, and restaurant across the UK. One of their notable brands is the Toby Carvery chain of restaurants. The company’s venues produce an average revenue of £23,000 per week.

Transport – Birmingham

Established in 1972, this company provides buses, coaches, trains, and trams across Europe, North America, and Bahrain. This includes public transportation and private hire for events. They are the official supplier of coach services for Wembley Stadium.

Food Services – Rubery

This international firm was founded in London in 1961, but has an office in Rubery. They predominantly manage catering and retail units in airports and stations, including Birmingham International Airport. They launched one of the first M&S Food to Go outlets to be situated at that airport.
